 About the Cover: It seems natural that John would have attempted to prevent Jesus from being baptized. What need does spotless, sinless Lamb of God having in a Baptism for repentance of sins? However, Jesus insist upon submerging Himself which sinners in this Baptism to fulfill all righteousness. The righteousness of God is found in His mercy for poor sinners as He emerged from the watery grave into new life and took those sins all the way to the cross.
