 About the Cover: The fall in the garden of Eden set the battle lines between the offspring of the devil and the offspring of Eve. But the defeat of the father of lies (John 8:44) was already foretold as the foot that would crush the serpent’s head. Christ, the true Offspring of Eve, was faithful through the temptation in the desert and all the way to the cross. The cross of this Second Adam had been made “a life-given tree for all who trust in Him” (Prayer of Thanksgiving,”  LSB 209).
